In contracts to purchase a home REALTORS often write, “professionally cleaned.” So, what exactly does professionally cleaned mean?  Professionally cleaned means that the buyer expects the seller to pay for a cleaning service to come in and thoroughly deep clean the home. This includes carpets, flooring, appliances, inside of cabinets, etc. “Broom cleaned” on the other hand means that all clutter is removed. New owners moving in should be to wipe down cabinets and drawers, clean the floors, and give everything a good scrub.

Often sellers think they will have the time to professionally clean the home. At the 11th hour they find themselves scrambling to get it done and run out of time. If you have contractually committed to having the home “professionally cleaned” prior to closing, I recommend that you schedule cleaners to come in once everything is packed up and out of the home. Here is a list of cleaners I recommend:

  • Cleaning Time Cleaning Service | Reuben Edwards | (601) 717 3150
  • New Beginnings Cleaning Service | Wylinda Montgomery (601) 622 7214
  • Patty Cuenca | (601) 955 5225
  • Stephanie Queen  (601) 259-0604

As always, if you need help buying or selling your home or business, feel free to contact one of our agents at Right Size Realty.
